Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times. (Matthew 18: 21-22)
Unforgiveness open the door for tormenting spirits. Bitterness opens the door for spirits of infirmity, all kinds of diseases and sickness. It is symbolized by gall and wormwood in scripture. Unforgiveness is the result of being hurt, rejected, abandoned, disappointed, abused, raped, molested, taken advantage of, lied to or about, cheated on, gossiped about, etc.
Father, in Jesus’ name, I release myself from all bitterness, unforgiveness and resentment. I release to God those who have offended me or hurt me in anyway. I release myself from all spirits of infirmity as a result of my bitterness. I close that door in the mighty name of Jesus.
